Graphic 45 + Tattered Angels + Tombow

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

I recently received my Design Team package from Graphic 45, inside there were tons of inspiring goodies!

Needless to say, I got right to work.

I made this card using Graphic 45, Times Nouveau paper and Tattered Angels:

These are the fabulous Tattered Angels products that were sent in my ‘Design Team Box’:

I used the Glimmer Screens and Glimmer Mist shown above on my card, here’s a close-up:

I used the same Graphic 45 Times Nouveau line and my new TOMBOW products to make this card:

Look at all these fabulous TOMBOW products that came in my ‘Design Team Box’ (I’m such a lucky girl):

This was the first time I have used the TOMBOW products and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and functional the products are.  I will definitely be purchasing more when I run out.

If you would like more details about the products used to make these cards, both cards were posted on the Graphic 45 Blog today.  Be sure to stop by {Graphic 45} and leave a comment for a chance to win some beautiful Graphic 45 paper.

Happy Crafting, Christie

One Of My Very Favorite Embellishments…

Never, ever underestimate the power of BUTTONS!

This is my button Jar:

I love, love, love Buttons!

I bet you couldn’t tell.

Yeah, right.

Anyway…

Buttons always end up on my layouts…

Like this one of my little nephew’s feet:

I have A LOT of favorite embellishments…and buttons are definitely close to the top of my list.

Do you have a favorite?  Even if you don’t scrapbook, is there a certain type of embellishment you like to see on layouts?

Like…brads or chipboard or….

…ribbon?

My sweet baby sister with her soon to be husband (in only 15 days)!

In this layout I stretched a few requirements.

I needed to use Graphic 45 paper along with Tattered Angels Product.

My sister’s wedding has a snowflake theme and her colors are shades of blue, lavender and silver.

I used blue & lavender cardstock, silver glimmer mist and the Tattered Angels Glimmer screens to create the snowflakes on the layout.  I added a little bling here and there to make the snowflakes stand out.

I reworked the photo of Em and Jordan to look a little more vintage…I felt this allowed me to get away with using the matching sepia-tone colors in the Graphic 45 snowflake paper.

OK.  It was a stretch but it fulfilled my requirements and sometimes a girl has to hit a few birds with only one stone.

P.S.

Emilee had her Bridal Photos taken last weekend in the freezing cold.  Em’s photographer, Jaclyn was SUPER fun and talented!

Check out some of the shoot:

This photo is of my friend, Laura and I back in 1994.  We traveled through Europe after high school.  The photo was blurry to begin with and then I blew it up (which didn’t help with the blurry factor at all) but I love the photo anyway.  I have so many fond memories of that summer.

Here’s a closer look at the little details:

It snowed here again last night.  It’s noon now and the snow has almost completely melted.

This cold weather is going to take some getting used to.  Brrrrrr.

What is the weather like there?
