Happy New Year!

Don’t you just love to celebrate the New Year to come?  We get to realize all of our accomplishments and memories from the year past, then say goodbye to mistakes we’ve made and start afresh!

A new year, a new beginning…filled with hope.

I have lots of NEW projects in the making.  I can’t wait to share my new Graphic 45 projects created with their new paper.  They’ve been showing sneak peeks of the new lines on their BLOG.

I’ve been preparing for CHA (The Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show). I’ll be attending with the gals from Paradise Scrapbook Boutique and my Mom (I’m looking forward to some fun Mom and me time).  Paradise Scrapbook Boutique is the creative blood that flows through my veins.  Without the women of PSB my creativity would run dry. I’m totally serious.  Thanks ladies – you know I love you!

During this new year I will also be creating for an online company called, “The Scrappy Gourmet”.  I’m excited to be joining their design team!  So keep your eyes peeled on their website for some upcoming kits!

Here’s to a happy and healthy 2010!

Love, Christie

Spring Wall-Hanging

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

I was so inspired by THIS Spring layout class that Karen designed for her store, Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.

I loved how Karen used the new Dream Street paper and the way she used a die cut on cardboard. Fab.u.lous!

I totally scrap-lifed the idea (and the paper) to make my Spring Wall-Hanging.

One of the reasons I love taking classes and going to crops is that I come away with so many crazy-good ideas.  The women that I scrapbook with are so creative.  Yes my fellow scrapbookers, you inspire me and for this…I thank you.

I came up with another little Paris themed wall-hanging for one of my Graphic 45 projects.  I’ll share it as soon as I take photos.

Do you go to local scrapbooking stores to crop?  Do you come away feeling inspired?  I sure do!

Here I am…a girl who dreams about paper and what to do with it!

I love taking photos and I love paper so…naturally I love to scrapbook.

I teach some scrapbooking classes at a store in Paradise, CA called “Paradise Scrapbook Boutique

I love it there…I feel so inspired each time I walk through the door. I was lucky enough to tag a long to CHA in Orange County with Karen (the owner of PSB) and her sister Deb. It was my first time to CHA ever and OH BABY it was so fun! I came right home and started working on my new class…check it out:

I picked up some Easter paper today and worked on some projects with my kids, we made cute little paper-covered eggs…the egg probably would have been really cute if I would have used mod podge!

I am going to be starting my own website “Prettypaperbook.com” where I will be selling hand-made albums (mostly 6×6, 8×8 and shaped albums). I’m excited to get it up and running.

My husband (computer genius that he is) and his designer friends are still working on how the site will look…I think they’re really just buying me time to make more albums. Hopefully it will be up and running by the first week in March! Keep your finger’s crossed!
