Happy Valentines Day!

Monday, February 14th, 2011

Happy LOVE day!

I’m traveling back to Idaho today with mixed feelings.  I’m looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again, a home-cooked meal, my sweet nephew (among other amazing family) but I sure am going to miss my friends and family here in California.  It’s always so wonderful to visit.

While I was here I attended a Valentine Crop at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique (a little bit of Heaven).

Yes, those are BLOSSOMS! Blossoms in FEBRUARY! Can you believe it? I still have six feet of snow in my front yard!

Beautiful, pink, lovely blossoms.

Look at the amazing goodies we received at the PSB Valentine Crop:

Karen always spoils us.  What an amazing woman!

I spent the whole day with good friends, a much-needed visit.  It was an added bonus to spend the day with my bloggie friend Char (who is fabulous)! We met in person for the first time at the PSB Crop. Check out Char’s Blog.  This woman is tal-en-ted!

And I got to visit with Devanie, I haven’t seen her in SO long. It was fun to catch  up.

In honor of Valentines day, I’ll share the simple Valentines I made while cropping (also shown above)…

This one is made with the candy cups:

Making Memories + K&Company =

This one has some sewn polka-dot ric-rac that I purchase while at Material Girls in Utah:

I used Pink Paislee rub-ons on this one. Quick and simple:

I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day, as for me…I’ll be stuck in the car for 14 hours with my loved ones (hopefully we’ll still love each other when we reach our destination).

Feel the love!

Making Memories {Je t’adore} Valentine Cards

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

Taking a little break from sharing my Graphic 45 CHA projects…

I created these little Valentines yesterday using the Je t’adore Line from Making Memories.

My sewing machine was unpacked and dusted off.

I’m sure it was happy to be of use again (if a sewing machine can be happy, that is).

I love this line…maybe it’s because I LOVE Valentine paper.

I’m headed to California on Sunday.  Can’t wait to visit family and friends in the Golden State HELLO SUNSHINE!

I will be happy to leave behind the -23 degree Idaho weather.  Brrrrrrrr.

Dear Spring,

please hurry.

Be Mine Banner Using Making Memories {Je t’Adore}

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

Valentines Day is always so fun to celebrate!  A day filled with love…

I usually start decorating my house about now…so creating this “Be Mine” Banner got me in the Valentine-decorating mood.

My daughter, Izabelle has been itching to make some Valentines (pictures coming soon)

This Banner was fun to make – my glue gun came in handy.

I hung some crystal beads from the bottom of each triangle.  Love the extra sparkle.

Spread the love!

Making Memories {Je t’adore}

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

I can’t wait to really dive into this new Making Memories line, Je t’adore (this layout is just the beginning).  The Je t’adore line is so fun…all the papers…embellishments…lovelies…it’s all so fun to work with.

I put this little layout together (really quick) for a crafty day with my mom and sisters. We try to get together at least once a month.

Next month will involve foam balls and fabric – can’t wait!

I’m almost done with my Design Team Projects for Graphic 45 – I’ll be taking photos and then shipping them off tomorrow morning.  I hope they’re well received (we’ll see). Can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on here…it’s only…what?  A week away?

Happy Tuesday!

Christmas Projects Published in Scrap n’ Art Magazine

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

I’ve been enjoying the Christmas season and simply forgot to share these projects…

Shimmerz took a front seat on this card.  Love Shimmerz!

“Baby it’s Cold Outside”

This photo of my brother’s family was actually taken last Summer at a beach in California…it  does look a bit like a Christmas photo, right?

“Season’s Greetings”

And this wouldn’t be a proper post without a little Graphic 45…

“Scenes From Christmas”

Merry Christmas friends!

Handmade Ornaments {Part One}

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I love handmade Christmas ornaments.  There is something so special about them.

Here are a couple I’ve made this year.

I used green and silver German glass glitter, I love the way it starts to tarnish after a year – it has a vintage feel.

I also used a little crepe paper and the some Making Memories Christmas embellishments.

I hope that you’re enjoying the Christmas season.

Simple Baby Shower Banner {and other baby shower happenings}

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Earlier in the week my mom, my sister and I invited some lovely women over for a baby shower.  My sister-in-law, Kristin’s baby shower!

I made a simple banner for Kristin’s shower using the Making Memories Just Chillin‘ Line. The banner came together really quickly:

My mom and I also put together  a little diaper cake for Kristin:

It was our first time making one, and I can say that it seem as though it would’ve been a lot harder making one alone.  It was nice to have four hands instead of two, especially when were were putting rubber bands around rolled up diapers and tying ribbon.

We made little roses out of wash cloths:

I loved the monkey on the top…Kristin is decorating the baby’s room in a Jungle Theme.

Here’s some of the goodies we made:

Cherry Chip Cupcakes…

White Chocolate Peanut butter Krispie Cookies (yum):

Sweet and Salty Popcorn (made with sugar, butter & vanilla…ooo la la):

We had tons of fun!  I think Kristin liked it to…

You can barely see her baby bump in this photo (it’s hiding behind her knees).  That’s my nephew in there!

Christmas….Again?

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I was recently contacted (by a really sweet woman) about a Christmas Advent Book that I made in 2008.  She asked if I could make her one.

I went digging through my massive stash of paper…and sure enough, I had some 2008 Making Memories in there. That must be why I always buy two of every sheet (sure…that’s the reason).

Here’s a few photos of the Christmas Advent rerun:

Merry Christmas…er…I mean…? What?

The Fasted Little “Love” Layout Ever

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I used the new Making Memories line, “Love Struck” to create this simple layout in no time at all.

Between the Matching Making Memories Love Struck embellishments and new Design Shop Embellishments, I’ve never put a layout together so quickly (and usually people call me a fast-scrapper anyway – so I’m telling you, this layout came together fast).

I love that Making Memories always makes the cutest little embellishments (and TONS of them) to go along with their paper lines.

Have I mentioned before how much I love embellishments?  I know, I know…all the time, right? Well, I do.
