Little Yellow Bicycle {Christmas Delight}

Monday, November 8th, 2010

Tuesday is Girl’s Craft Day at my house.

The ladies in my family will be creating layouts for a calendar shadow box.  This Little Yellow Bicycle layout is for December. That’s a little obvious, right?

I added some little punched out circles with diamond glaze and some buttons for ornaments on the little tree.

And the presents needed tags (of course).

I thought the star should shine a little too…

Here’s a simple card that I whipped up using leftover paper:

Some leftover diamond glazed circles made the perfect addition.

I hope that you have a fabulous day!

Leftovers {Cards}…

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Lately I’ve found that I have a lot of leftover paper from projects.  I’ve challenged myself to put this ‘leftover’ paper to good use by making cards.

Now, before you get too excited (I know, I know – handmade cards are exciting) please understand that I am in no way and expert card maker.  To be completely honest, I’m a bit of an ammiture.

Keep in mind that my cards are very simple.

I made this one with some leftover Graphic 45, On The Boardwalk paper:

And this little cutie was made with my leftover Cosmo Cricket, Material Girl paper:

This simple card was made with leftover Little Yellow Bicycle, Clothesline paper:

And finally, this uber-simple card was made using leftover Graphic 45, Times Nouveau paper:

There you have it.  A few simple cards.

Now…Inquiring minds want to know:

Do you prefer to receive a hand-made card or a Hallmark card? What about no card but a handwritten letter?

Remember those old Hallmark commercials?  They always made me cry.

Personally, I think it’s the thought that counts.  If I get a card or letter of any kind I think it’s fabulous!

Little Yellow Bicycle {Clothesline}

Monday, April 19th, 2010

I fell in love with Little Yellow Bicycle’s, “Clothesline”,  when I read the words ‘make life beautiful’ and ‘every day’.

I immediately thought of my sweet Izabelle.

Izabelle makes life beautiful.  Every.  Day.

Kids her own age, young children, babies, animals and even adults are drawn to her sweet personality.  She is so fun (and funny), she is kind and considerate and most of all she is so unique and is never afraid to just be herself.  I hope that Izabelle is always as confident as she is now.
