Deep thoughts…OK, not so deep.

“Nice how we never get dizzy from doing good turns.”

–George Bengis

I received the above quote in my email a few days back.  I’ve had a little time to ponder it.  Sometimes I get so busy I do feel a little dizzy.  It always seems that when I am on the right path I don’t feel overwhelmed, when this happens, I actually feel good about the state of “busy-ness” that I am in and do not feel dizzy.

Everyone has their rough days and I am one person that is not excluded from this.  But I must say that I am truly grateful for every single day.  I am grateful for that which keeps me busy.  I am grateful for family and friends (that means you too, my fellow bloggers).  I am grateful for projects and inspiration, for time to read and ponder.

I love the Bengis quote above.  It speaks to me.

Photography Throw Back

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I have always loved to take photographs.  I can’t help it.  I carry my little digital camera in my purse and it goes everywhere  with me.  I’ve had too many experiences that I wish I would’ve had a camera for, I learned my lesson when my son was very young.

My children’s lives are well documented in photographs.  So well in fact that they both either huff and puff because I’m taking “another picture” or they say, “Mom, take a picture of me holding….”  whatever they have in their hands at the time…

When my kids were younger I went through a Black & White phase.  It was before I went digital and I would haul my big camera around with me.  That big Camera went along with us on all of our outings, it was just as necessary as the diaper bag was.

I took the following photos about 6 years ago.  I am not and have never claimed to be a professional photographer…but it does not deter me from pretending to be with my children.  Looking back at these photos, even if they’re a little blurry…I’m so glad I lugged that camera around with us.

To the Father’s in my Life…

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

To my sweet husband, thank you for all that you do for our family.  For your hard work and dedication, for your tenderness and devotion.  We love you…

To My Daddy,  I love you so much.  After all these years I am happy to say that I am still your Pumpkin Poo!  You have taught me so much, loved me like crazy and instilled in me a knowlege and love for my Heavenly Father.  You’ve given me peace by knowing you’ll always be there for me.  And you’ve taught me how to get my hands dirty with good, hard work.

To my Grandpa Crabtree,  thank you for your kindness which is everlasting, for your brilliantly happy mood that never disapears.  Thank you for all the years of happy memories and for your love and knowlege of the scriptures and all things good a glorious in this world.

And I can not forget my sweet younger brother Adam, I love to watch you with your daughter.  You are an amazing father, so tender and sweet.  I love how you love your family and am so pleased to be your older sister!  Thank you for finally  making me an aunt!

To top it all off, Karen actually thinks that I’m cool enough to teach at her “Boutique” and boy oh boy is it fun!

So, you know I love to give stuff away…today I am going to share the love! I’m giving away a $25.00 PSB gift certificate!!! Karen is willing to sell class kits/product over the phone (for those of you who don’t live in the area). Simply visit her blog HERE and check out the classes/new product!

Leave a comment on any post, I’ll even add an extra entry for those who comment on old posts…I’ll draw a random winner this Sunday (June 1st).

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

3 Days of SCRAPBOOK Heaven…

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Friday, Saturday and Sunday…Scrapbooking away at PSB!  I’m so excited!

Here’s a photo from last year’s 3-day crop…my friend Barbara (LOTR soul-mate) won THREE clear albums…I wonder what my lucky friend will win this year!!!

This morning I watched my beautiful niece Kayla.  Today she helped me pack for my crop and became a little obsessed with my “bag of buttons”.

I’m her Auntie so of course I let her play with the buttons.  It’s amazing how much fun a small child can have placing buttons in a plastic frying pan and pretending to cook them.

Kayla likes drawing on the white board almost as much as she likes buttons.  I have to admit…it’s adorable!

As for all of my friends here in blog world…check back over the next couple of days…I’ll post some photos of the projects I complete during my crop! :-)

Michael Buble

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Urr..yeh…What a lovely photo, right?

I was lucky enough to go to a Michael Buble concert in Sacramento with my Mother last night. It was an AMAZING concert! I had so much fun and he was very entertaining and timeless. MB reminded me of the legends Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett (and he’s not bad to look at either)!

Naturally Seven opened for Micheal Buble. Can I just say these boys are INCREDIBLE. They’re an Acapella group and they do vocal play (make the sound of different instruments using their voices). So cool. Check out this LINK to see them sing on the Paris Metro (Becky - bet you don’t see this on the daily BART).

It’s Monday again…back to the grind, right? I have some projects in the works that I’ll share with you this week!

Have a GREAT day!
