Cosmo Cricket {Mitten Weather}

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

I received this fabulous Cosmo Cricket paper in one of my goodie bags at the Paradise Scrapbook Boutique crop I went to earlier this month. I finally got a chance to play with it yesterday.

This little chipboard snowman was also in the goodie bag.  I dressed him up with some Shimmerz (Pearl, Luscious Lilac and a little Carrot Top for the nose).

Shimmerz Pixie Dust was also my constant companion during the making of this layout. I used it on this little Santa face:

And I used it on the snowflakes (cut from the Cosmo Cricket paper).

The little felt snowflakes were also included in my Paradise Scrapbook Boutique goodie bag, pretty darn fun, right?

Just wait until you see what I’ve done with the goodie bag I received on day two of my Paradise Scrapbook Boutique Crop!

Happy Wednesday!

Izabelle’s Zombie Virus {Graphic 45 + Shimmerz}

Monday, October 18th, 2010

For those of you who know my daughter, Izabelle, you know that she’s a super-fun kid!

Belle had a blast with a “Zombie Virus” Halloween label.  She stuck it on a can of lemonade and then pretended to become a Zombie.

I took some photos put together this layout using Graphic 45 Hallowe’en in Wonderland and some Shimmerz paintz.  Dripping some Peas Be Mine Shimmerz Pearlz on the tag created a slime effect.

Remember this card?  I used the same idea for the pumpkins on this layout.

We’re getting close to Halloween now…only a couple of weeks!

My Minds Eye {Lost & Found} Union Square Cards

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

I love the beautiful My Minds Eye paper. It’s so sparkly and delicious to look at.

The paper comes pre-glittered, what’s not to love about that?

I already had some red thread in my sewing machine…so I added a little stitching to the next couple of cards.

It’s amazing what a little stitching can add to a card….and some buttons…and some twine.

Still loving that pre-glittered paper.

On this next card I whipped out some Sea Foam Shimmer Spritz to add a little blue to this red & white My Minds Eye line.

Here’s a closer look at the Sea Foam blue:

I also spritzed one of the hearts, I love how simple it was to change the color this beautiful paper.

This card could easily be a valentine, don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope that you have a wonderful day!

xoxo, Christie

Christmas Cards {Graphic 45}

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

*Photo removed for publication*

It’s not quite Christmas yet…we’re barely even getting ready for Halloween but I received my Graphic 45 Design Team package yesterday and it felt like Christmas.

*Photo removed for publication*

I love the Graphic 45 Christmas Past line, it so timeless – just love the vintage feel of it.

I played with my Shimmerz Paintz a bit too.

The Shimmerz Blingz created a beautiful border around the “Merry Christmas” title.

*Photo removed for publication*

I pulled out my sewing machine too (love to combine sewing with scrapbooking) – so fun!

I played with Shimmerz again on the “Christmas Joy is in my Heart” card. I used the color, Angel Wings. I spread it on the Angel’s wings (and the title) – a bit fitting don’t you think?

Here’s a closer look at the Angel’s Wings:

And the cute little peppermint candy charms. I found them HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I hope that you’re having a blessed week.

My Minds Eye, Lost & Found {Market Street}

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Happy.

Happy is how the new My Minds Eye, Lost & Found line makes me feel.

This particular Lost & Found line is called, Market Street.

Love-it-oh-so-much!

Market Street has the most amazing embellishments.

And you know how much I love EMBELLISHMENTS!

**Squeal**

I found it at a very special place, my home away from home:

HERE

The photo in this layout is of my brother, Adam with his beautiful family.

My sister-in-law, Vanessa and their two girls, Kayla and Addie.

I had to call Vanessa to find out exactly which beach the photo was taken.

Asilomar State Beach, CA

Good times.

I sparkled up the blue borders (this line is already VERY sparkly) with some Shimmerz, Pixie Dust.  I Love how it turned out.

Once again, I was inspired by The Color Room.  I’m still trying to catch up on all their amazing Color Palettes.

The ‘My Minds Eye’ fun doesn’t stop here…

I still have two more Lost & Found lines to work with:

Portobello Road and Union Street.

Stay tuned!

xoxo, Christie

I Have Returned…Finally.

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

I know I’ve been absent a lot this Summer…

But I’m back and ready to have some fun!

To create this ‘Sweet Baby’ layout of my Nephew, Cooper,

I used a combination of Echo Park and Sassafras Papers.

I also used some of my favorite Shimmerz products:

Chick-a-dee Spritz (Yellow), Under the Sea Blingz (light blue), and Blue By U Paintz (darker blue).

I used the Blingz around the photo mat and the frame around the word “Sweet”

I love the shimmery loveliness.

Who said you can’t use butterflies and flowers on a little boy layout?

My inspiration came from this:

I’m trying to catch up on all the palettes from The Color Room.

There is SO much inspiration over there…you simply must give them a visit if you love to scrapbook.

In other news…

The kids started school today so my free time has doubled.

Hallelujah!

I was able to attended my niece, Kayla’s 4th Birthday party

while in California last week.

Kayla’s cake was lovely.

And she was pretty cute too!

Thanks for hanging in there with me

off to catch up with all of you!

A CHA Project…

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Since CHA is well underway

and my projects are being viewed by the masses (haha).

I thought it would be OK to start sharing here on my blog.

I’m loving the new embellishments that Graphic 45 came out with.

Chipboard Flowers and Buttons are so versatile.

It doesn’t hurt that I get to play with my Shimmerz product too.

I spritzed the Graphic 45 flowers and buttons with Jeni B Blue.

I also used the new Graphic 45 trims and Letter Stickers

on this ‘Lil Darlin’ Layout.

The new Steampunk Debutante Line is so vibrant and beautiful!

I love working with it.

I used my sewing machine to “quilt” this layout, although, you can barely make it out…

The thread is the same color as the background paper.

This photo of my daughter was taken today:

This photo was taken about Three Summers ago in the exact same pool:

Children grow WAY too fast.

Take for instance, these little ones:

Little Miss Addie.

She’s dang adorable, right?

And Darling Kayla:

They’re growing way too fast also.

Please. stop. growing. so. fast.

I can hardly stand it!

My heart can’t take this much cute!

It’s fun to have cousins.

I hope you’re enjoying your week!
