My Minds Eye {Lost & Found} Portobello Road

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Labor Day Weekend has arrived.

I’m ready!

Before I take off to my (much anticipated) Family Reunion,

I thought I’d share another My Minds Eye Layout.

This layout came together quickly.

Almost the entire layout was created with the

My Minds Eye Lost & Found Portobello Road Line

(excluding the Wide Sheer Ribbon, Cardstock & Shimmerz).

Speaking of Shimmerz,

I used some of the Shimmerz Pearlz to create the Pin Dots in the corners of this layout.

But the sparkly, “Handsome Boy” label:

My Minds Eye.

Yep.

And the fun brads:

You guessed it,

My Minds Eye.

Love this paper.

It’s a little bit of Scrapbooker’s Heaven.

In other news:

Remember those photo albums of my Grandmother’s that my father found?

The precious and rare albums that were not destroyed in the fire?

I’m finally done scanning photos.

And almost done creating the photo CD’s for my cousins.

I thought I’d share of few of my favorites:

Grandma Clara giving my little brother, Seth his first bath.

It was a tradition that Grandma Clara gave all her grandchildren their first bath.

{You can see me in the photo…I’m in the mirror}

Left to right: Rachel Wolfe, Tarah Wolfe Livingston, Grandma Clara, Rebecca Wolfe, Corianne Wolfe and Christie Wolfe Bryant

This photo shows the nightgowns that Grandma Clara made for each of her granddaughters that lived nearby. Having a matching nightgown with my cousins is a favorite Christmas memory.

Grandma Clara on her front porch.

Grandma lived in Paradise, California for many, many years (not sure the exact number).

They don’t often get snow in Paradise

but when they do – Grandma loved it!

I can’t wait to share these (and many more) special photos with my cousins.

Thanks for stopping by,

I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

xoxo, Christie

My Minds Eye, Lost & Found {Market Street}

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Happy.

Happy is how the new My Minds Eye, Lost & Found line makes me feel.

This particular Lost & Found line is called, Market Street.

Love-it-oh-so-much!

Market Street has the most amazing embellishments.

And you know how much I love EMBELLISHMENTS!

**Squeal**

I found it at a very special place, my home away from home:

HERE

The photo in this layout is of my brother, Adam with his beautiful family.

My sister-in-law, Vanessa and their two girls, Kayla and Addie.

I had to call Vanessa to find out exactly which beach the photo was taken.

Asilomar State Beach, CA

Good times.

I sparkled up the blue borders (this line is already VERY sparkly) with some Shimmerz, Pixie Dust.  I Love how it turned out.

Once again, I was inspired by The Color Room.  I’m still trying to catch up on all their amazing Color Palettes.

The ‘My Minds Eye’ fun doesn’t stop here…

I still have two more Lost & Found lines to work with:

Portobello Road and Union Street.

Stay tuned!

I Have Returned…Finally.

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

I know I’ve been absent a lot this Summer…

But I’m back and ready to have some fun!

To create this ‘Sweet Baby’ layout of my Nephew, Cooper,

I used a combination of Echo Park and Sassafras Papers.

I also used some of my favorite Shimmerz products:

Chick-a-dee Spritz (Yellow), Under the Sea Blingz (light blue), and Blue By U Paintz (darker blue).

I used the Blingz around the photo mat and the frame around the word “Sweet”

I love the shimmery loveliness.

Who said you can’t use butterflies and flowers on a little boy layout?

My inspiration came from this:

I’m trying to catch up on all the palettes from The Color Room.

There is SO much inspiration over there…you simply must give them a visit if you love to scrapbook.

I’m starting to scrapbook some of my more recent memories.

My kids with their two little California Cousins.

I’m loving the New Melissa Frances, Kitschy Kitchen Line.

I found it here.

I added a little stitching…

Love using my sewing machine!

…made a few folded flowers.

What is the technical name for these flowers?

I need to find out.

I was inspired by this:

Sassafras {Indie Girl}

Nothing like playing with Sassafras Paper!

Darling,

sweet

little Addie.

Gosh I love this little niece of mine.

I’m having so much fun with my new Shimmerz Colors.

I used Accu-Cut Dies to cut out an “Addie” stencil and then Spritzed away.

And I used my new Shimmerz paint on the edge of the page.

I also spritzed like crazy on these precious little Vintage Tags by

Pretty Little Studio.

Such cute little girl images.

I love the little Bunting Flags!

So, so fun to play with!

Echo Park {Life is Good}

Monday, August 9th, 2010

Spending time at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique

always feels like coming home.

Not only did I get to spend time with my beloved ‘Scrappy Friends’

I also got to browse Karen’s Beautiful store.

While browsing, I found this beautiful new Echo Park paper.

I just love it!

Had to create a layout with it right away.

It was so bright and fun to work with.

Just like all the ladies that hang out there at PSB!

Graphic 45 {Steampunk Debutante}

I’m loving the new Steampunk Debutante line

by, Graphic 45

Here is yet another project that I created for

CHA Summer 2010

(Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show in Chicago).

I only had a few days to put some projects together

and then send them off for CHA.

My assignments included a banner, 3 layouts

and a pop-up card.

A pop-up card?

That’s another post for another day.

Included in my Design Team Package

was a couple of the new Graphic 45 Envelope Albums.

I was instructed to create an album after I had finished with my assignments

and only if there was still time.

I was so excited about the albums…

so much so that I had a hard time coming up with Layout ideas.

I made time to create a little mini album.

Even if I was up until 2am the night before I had to mail my projects off.

2 am, schmoo-am.

I enjoyed making this little mini.

It’s not my typical style,

so it was fun to just play with paper.

I included some fun quotes.

And generally just had a good time.

I went to town with my scissors.

This little book makes me happy.

Scrapbooking makes me happy.

Creating something new makes me happy.

I guess you could say that I am one happy lady.

I

Happy is good.

Wonderland, Making Memories Slice and a Little Romance…

Here’s a look at the

Hallowe’en in Wonderland Layout that I created for

CHA SUMMER 2010:

I’m loving the new Graphic 45 Staples

Especially the Envelope Tags.

I love embellishments.

Yes.

I really do.

A CHA Project…

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Since CHA is well underway

and my projects are being viewed by the masses (haha).

I thought it would be OK to start sharing here on my blog.

I’m loving the new embellishments that Graphic 45 came out with.

Chipboard Flowers and Buttons are so versatile.

It doesn’t hurt that I get to play with my Shimmerz product too.

I spritzed the Graphic 45 flowers and buttons with Jeni B Blue.

I also used the new Graphic 45 trims and Letter Stickers

on this ‘Lil Darlin’ Layout.

The new Steampunk Debutante Line is so vibrant and beautiful!

I love working with it.

I used my sewing machine to “quilt” this layout, although, you can barely make it out…

The thread is the same color as the background paper.

If you love this line the way I do, you simply must see

these projects by my fellow Graphic 45 Design Team members:

This Dress Form/Mannequin was designed by, Candy Rosenberg.

It is simply fabulous!  I love everything about it!

If you want to see more photos, check out the Graphic 45 Blog post HERE.

Check out this amazing Hot Air Balloon designed by, Jenny Svensson.

Wow. Just. Wow.

So creative!

My fellow Graphic 45 Design Team members are awe-inspiring.

I am honored and humbled to be on the same Design Team with such incredibly talented women.

Random Thoughts By Christie Bryant

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

A Sneak Peek at one of my CHA projects…

What a CRAZY week!

Getting projects ready for CHA,

Preparing Kits for my Paradise Scrapbook Boutique Class,

Helping Courtney Move,

Preparing and packing for California….

You get the picture.

_____________

While I’m on the CHA track…

If you’re attending CHA in Chicago, be sure to stop by the

Graphic 45 Booth

and the

Shimmerz Booth

______________

I made this little banner awhile ago using

The Girls Paperie Line,

Paper Girl:

It was so hard to photograph hanging on the wall…

I probably should have tried a different location.

Lighting = Not Good.

I bought the cutest little green lamps at work (blame the Lighting Store)

And now I’ve been trying to bring green into my living room.

The banner helped a bit.

Yet again, I may be absent from my blog for a tick or two.

I’m still not sure if I’ll have an internet connection where I’m headed.

I may just have to hang out at a Starbucks for awhile…

…I’ll use them for their WiFi.

Just because he’s cute,

Here’s a picture of my adorable nephew, Cooper:

I’ll miss him while I’m in California.

But on the flip side,

I’ll get to smother these cuties with hugs and smooches:

Yipee!

Love those nieces of mine.

__________

Be patient with me while I’m traveling and in return,

I will try to hunt down WiFi

so that I may stop by and visit you too!

Lots of OXOXOX’s
