Little Miss Kayla. I can’t get enough of this sweet little niece of mine.

She is so darn adorable, I can’t stand it!

Sometimes I wish I could stop her from growing. OK, I wish it almost all of the time.

It’s amazing to me how fast children grow.

Here’s a sneak peek of the Teresa Collins “Sweet Afternoon” class that I designed for Paradise Scrapbook Boutique. Want a closer look? Check it out HERE.

Have a gorgeous day!

Love You True

Sunday, May 20th, 2012

My blog has been so neglected.

I’m sure it will get worse since Summer is here, the kids only have 3 days left of school.

My sister has so many gorgeous wedding photos…I still find myself scrapbooking them on occasion.

And I love finding a reason to use my Melissa Frances product.

Does anyone have fun Summer plans?

Have a beautiful day!

Altered Serving Tray

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

A lovely idea I picked up while playing with Paper at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique

Each of us who attended the National Scrapbook Day crop at PSB received a painted serving tray.

An idea PSB picked up from the lovely Altered Vintage Serving Tray created by Donna and posted on the Cosmo Cricket Blog.

There, at PSB, they had a beautiful sample for us to use to create our own version of the serving tray.

I ended up making a couple to give as mother’s day gifts.

On the first tray, I used the lovely Evangeline line from Cosmo Cricket.

They were surprisingly easy to make (considering that the lovely ladies at PSB had already painted the trays).

For the second tray, I used the new Nature Garden Collections from Prima, along with a little Pink Paislee.

I love, love, love the new ivory organza rose trim from Maya Roads.

And everything looks better with a few Prima flowers, don’t you think?

Now, I just need to find some more vintage serving trays, they make fabulous gifts, don’t you think?

Here’s a look at the original tray created by Donna:

Isn’t it lovely?

Check out Donna’s tray HERE on the Cosmo Cricket blog. And see PSB’s version of Donna’s tray HERE.

Have a wonderful day!

Playing With Prima…

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

My Mom and Dad recently returned from a trip that lasted over 3 weeks.

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some of their amazing vacation photos to scrapbook (this photo was taken in Amsterdam).

I couldn’t resist loading up with Prima Flowers while at my recent crop at PSB.

I {heart} Prima.

I also made some handmade lollies using the Antique Book Paper from Bazzill…

I have lots of projects to share…if I could just find the time to be on my computer for more than 10 minutes.

Just have to get back into the swing of things after catching the cold from Hades, getting better, then traveling for a week directly afterwards. Do I mention the sinus infection I picked up from the allergies I was accosted with in California? Wait. I guess I just did.

Good news: I’m almost feeling like myself again.

I hope that you had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I enjoyed some extra time goofing off with my children, we always have fun together.

Cosmo Cricket {Baby Jane}

Has it been 7 1/2 months since Tucker was born? I still remember Cooper’s face when he met Tuck for the first time. He had no idea what he was in for.

I have been so blessed to live so close to these cuties. I get to see them at least once a week.

Cooper is so sweet to his little brother, constantly kissing him and giving him toys to play with.

I love watching both Cooper and Tuck grow. I’m a lucky auntie.

I’m back in Idaho and still recovering from my long drive and crazy allergies.

I think my California allergies turned into a sinus infection, a small price to pay for the beauty that surrounded me while I was there.

Soon, I’ll be back in the swing of things.

Paradise Scrapbook Boutique

Monday, May 7th, 2012

I have at least 500 photos from the Crabtree Cabin last Summer.

I adore these pictures of my sister in law, Vanessa with my niece, Addie; they were both so happy.

This layout was created as a sample for Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.

I LOVE Paradise Scrapbook Boutique. When I walk through the doors, it feels like coming home.

Here’s a few shots of the store…

I spent the weekend among wonderful friends and gorgeous scrapbook supplies.

I even got to visit with Char, who drove up to shop and say hello!

Do you understand why this is my happy place?

There are goodies everywhere!

Paradise Scrapbook Boutique is end of the rainbow…

…the secret garden…

…a treasure trove.

I loved spending National Scrapbook Day at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.

Already planning my trip to California next year.

Farmer’s Market

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

I have California on the brain.

So, so excited that I’ll be there in a week (not so excited about driving 14 hours by myself).

Farmers Market is a feast for the scenes.

The colors, textures, smells…I just love everything about the fresh produce, flowers, homemade baked goods and other local products found at Farmer’s Market; It’s a pretty safe bet that I’ll be loading up the car with California produce before I head home to Idaho again.

Did I mention that I was excited about going to California?

Thought so.

All the flowers in this layout were purchased at

Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.

You better believe I’ll be spending some quality time there while I’m in California.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a beautiful day!

Little One {Prima Sun Kiss Collection}

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

Just  10 more days and I’ll be off to California to love on this little munchkin. I can’t wait!

Little Jack is so darling.

I can’t wait to visit my brother, Adam and his family, it’s so hard to live far away from them. Every moment is precious.

I get to see my two gorgeous nieces too, there will be lots of photos taken of them and their baby brother, Jack.

Photos = layouts.

Layouts = good.

I love my visits to California, it’s always so much fun to catch up with good friends, spend time with family and, of course, play with paper at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique!

The Little Things in Life

Saturday, April 14th, 2012

My blog has been so neglected this past week. I’ve been caught up in the life’s little details.

The beautiful sun has been shining and I’ve been spending time with my family outdoors.

Last week, Izabelle and I planted this year’s garden seedlings, I did some major Spring cleaning, we traveled home from Utah and celebrated Parker’s 15th birthday and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Life is full. Life is good.

I used a vintage-inspired kit from Red Lead to create the above project. I love their little birdie stamps.

May Arts Ribbon is the star of this throw pillow I made. I purchased the fun fabric at Material Girls several months back and finally put it to good use.

I hope you enjoy your weekend! I just love the weekend.

xoxo, Christie

Doodlebug {I Love Cupcakes}

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

I do love cupcakes. I really, really do.

These photos are cupcakes that I ‘pinned’ on pinterest. They make my mouth water.

Speaking of cupcakes…my little family is headed to Utah this weekend, which means we can stop HERE for cupcakes.

I’m excited to spend Easter there with extended family.

We will also celebrate Parker’s 15th birthday while we’re there. Yikes! 15!

Parker is excited to try indoor skydiving. All the thrill without the risks. Thank goodness! Hopefully I’ll be able to get some fun photos.

I hope you have a wonderful Easter weekend!

xoxo, Christie
