For Fans of the “Twilight” series:

Setphenie Meyer’s “Twilight” Series temporarily took over my Summer.  I opened the first book and could not stop until i was finished with her third book.  Simply said, they grabbed a hold of me at absolutely did not let go.  Even though I’m finished I still think about The story of Edward & Bella (and Jacob).

So a little back story:

When I finished the first book I called my friend Laura and told her that “Twilight” was the best book I have read in a LONG time and that I would be dropping it by her house, that way she could read it too.  Laura finished the book faster than I did AND she went out and bought the next two books.  Yes, she finished all three before I did.  About 4 days before I did (to be exact).  Yep, she’s quite the speed reader…although I did finish all three book within 11 days.  Not bad.  Laura was faster.

Any-who,  back to my point.  The books were FANTASTIC!  I spoke to Laura today and as we were discussing the books, Laura mentioned that on Stephenie Meyer’s Website she has started a “side project”.  Another book for the Twilight Series.  It’s called “Midnight Sun”.  This book is ”Twilight” from Edwards point of view instead of Bella’s.  Seriously?  Seriously.  TOO COOL.

So, if you’re a Twilight Fan, as I am click HERE to read the first chapter in Stephenie Meyers (someday published) book, Midnight Sun.

Lost with Bella and Edward…

My poor children, husband and dog…they have been so neglected the past couple of days. Heck, even the laundry is starting to really pile up! I can’t help it. Can’t. Help. It.

I was reading several of my SITS sista’s blogs and so many recommended this book:

I had a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble and I really needed a good Summer read. Now that I have no more Harry Potter to look forward to, I had to move on. When I was talking to a very helpful sales associate while at Barnes and Noble, she led me to a display of the Twilight Series. I bought all three books…couldn’t help it. I’m so glad I did…when I opened the first book, “Twilight” at 9:00pm on Sunday Night, I did not put it down until 4:30 am. Wow! I haven’t stayed up that late in ages! I. Could. Not. Put. It . Down.

So, after finishing the first book and getting some “proper” rest on Monday Night I started the next book in the series on Tuesday Night:

OK, this book was just as good as the first one. Again, I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. Less than halfway through and Stephenie Meyer’s writing had already moved me to tears. I have to admit, as tears continued to roll down my cheeks when I close the cover (to get some shut eye - I learned my lesson Sunday night) I thought to myself…”Wow, this is a pretty darn AWESOME book if it can move me this way”

We had some guests over this evening…I have to admit, I’ve never actually wanted to escape to my room so badly while we had visitors before. The book was calling to me. Yes. I finished it. Now I’m on to the third book:

Thank goodness her fourth book doesn’t come out until August. I might actually get some work done around the house! Maybe I’ll bake some cookies with my children.

Scrapbooking Withdrawl Syndrome

I have SO many projects in my brain…I’m practically bursting at the ears!  I just need TIME!  How do these days fly by so quickly?   Seriously.  I need more time.  Today was another 9-5 workday and if I didn’t need the money I would’ve been sitting in my little scrap-knook creating away…oh well.  I just received my new Graphic 45 paper in the mail yesterday and I can’t wait to use it!  I tried to start some projects last night at about 11:30 and petered out faster than ever before.  Maybe I should start by trying to clear off the huge ma…ma…mess on my desk…

Yep, I actually took a picture of the awful state of things.  As The Pioneer Woman would say, “just keepin’ it real”
