Spring Cleaning?

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

My Esty Store has been neglected for far too long…

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to clean up my creative space a little.  During which, I found a box of older Etsy projects that I removed after the season was over (Christmas, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving, etc.).

I decided to go ahead a re-post everything.  So, if you’re interested in a look-see take a gander HERE.

Graphic 45 {On The Boardwalk}

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

It’s always hard to choose a favorite Graphic 45 line…but I think the new “On The Boardwalk” line is one of my very favorites!

I picked up this (not sure what to call it)…wooden plaque-stand?  And went right to work.

I love glitter.  I love Mod Podge.  I love ribbon.  I love flowers. I love paint. I love charms.  I love paper.  All of my favorites made it onto this little beach plaque…thingy.

I tied a little button next to the flowers.  I love buttons.

See what I mean?  Glitter is fantastic.

And some lace…I love lace.

Here’s a shot of the backside:

The back could not be neglected, although, I’m not sure who is ever going to look at the backside of this wooden thingy anyway.

OK.  I feel ridiculous.  What is this plaque…stand…thingy called?

Someone needs to enlighten me.

The Little Details of 2009

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

While I’m working on the new little details for 2010, I thought you might like a peek at last years…

Teresa Collins Recipe Boxes

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

A friend of mine, Becky, asked for a little help with some birthday presents for her sisters.

She sent me all of the supplies and I put these little recipe boxes together.

Each divider is different:

The Teresa Collins paper made this project come together very quickly.

Karen at PSB gave the T. Collins papers and embellishments as a gift at one of her scrapbooking crops.  I had made a recipe box as a sample for the PSB crop (I believe the sample gave Becky the gift idea).

I simply painted the chipboard embellishments to match the papers and cardstock.

It was a fun project! What do you think?

Spread Some Joy Around

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I created this little “Joy” Garland for the Paradise Scrapbook Boutique Gift Workshop.

Although, now I wish that I would’ve put some glitter on the red “JOY” letters.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Right?

I used the New Bo Bunny St. Nick Collection.

I created something similar last Christmas using Graphic 45 and Making Memories.

I just love this new Bo Bunny paper and HAD to use it.

I think Karen at PSB might have a few more “Joy Garland” kits available.

If you’re interested Karen’s contact information is HERE.

If you do decided that you want a Joy Garland and there actually are some left…

Please, for the love of all things good, add some glitter to the red letters.

I promise, you won’t be sorry.

I love close-ups!

Here’s wishing you a very, very merry Christmas season.

Don’t forget about Blog, Bid, Hope.  There’s still a few more hours left…

Blog, Bid, Hope

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

I’ve been reading Matt Logelin’s Blog almost daily since I stumbled upon it last June. I read about his daily struggle, raising his beautiful daughter, Madeline alone after the passing of his wife, Liz the day after Madeline was born.

I have read

every single

post

Matt has written.

Recently Francesca from Mayhem and Moxie contacted me and asked if I would be willing to donate one of my projects to benefit the Liz Logelin Foundation and Anissa Mayhew, a 35 year old blogger who recently suffered a stroke.  Of course I said YES!  I feel honored to be participating.

I made and am donating this Making Memories Book:

Blog, Bid, Hope is and on-line auction hosted by:

Mayhem & Moxie

Buried With Children

Mama’s Losin’ it

7 Clown Circus

Scary Mommy

Adventures in Babywearing and

The Extraordinary Ordinary

Blog, Bid, Hope is a three day auction which will raise money to benefit the Liz Logelin Foundation and Anissa Mayhew.

It just doesn’t feel like Christmas until you experience the spirit of giving.  Feel the Spirit this Holiday Season by donating to these special members of our on-line community.

Get your Christmas List out and stop by one (or all) of the seven blogs I have linked above. You will be glad that you did.

If you are interested in the Making Memories book that I am donating, it will be featured HERE.

If you would like to donate to the Liz Logelin Foundation directly CLICK HERE.

If you would like to donate to Help For Anissa directly CLICK HERE.

Thank you!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Jordan and Emilee’s Guest Book

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Emilee’s Guest Book is finished.

The light was not very great for photographing the Guest Book but I wanted to share it with you here on my blog.

All the fantastic photographs in the Guest Book I made were taken by Emilee’s Photographer Jaclyn Davis.

I used Flower Soft on the snowflakes for this next page.  It’s the first time I used Flower Soft product.  I loved it.  So, so pretty.  You can purchase Flower Soft products HERE.

A closer look at the Flower Soft on the snowflake:

My favorite of Emilee and Jordan’s engagement photos are taken with Emilee’s horses.

So sweet.

I loved adding the lavender to Emilee’s Guest Book pages.

I especially loved the touch of lavender with the horse photos.

Emilee and Jordan are such a beautiful couple.

My baby sister is getting married next Saturday!

{Making Memories} Mistletoe Mini Album

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

As promised, here are some (tons of) photos of my Making Memories Christmas Album!

I absolutely LOVE all of the Making Memories product!

I love that all of Making Memories papers have matching embellishments. I’m definitely an embellishment girl (as I’m sure you can tell).

Would you like to peek inside?

I thought so.

Here’s page one and two…along with some photos of the little details:

Moving on…

Here’s page three and four:

I stamped a flourish on this page with green ink.  It didn’t show up very well so I covered it with glitter glue.  Accidents happen.  Even in scrapbooking.

Now…page five and six:

I like the soft look of these pages.  Here’s a peek at the details:

I always have a hard time with the last two pages of a mini album.  I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a subconscious thing…or maybe I’m just creatively spent?  I just don’t know why I struggle on the last pages but I do. I really, really do.

Here’s a look at page seven and eight:

I’m not sure if you can tell…the following photo shows paper with red glittered polka dots.  Fabulous! I loved red glittered polka dots!

Well ladies and gents - that’s all for now.  I hope you enjoyed taking a gander and my little Making Memories Christmas Mini Album.

Have a wonderful day!

Meeting The Pioneer Woman!

Monday, November 9th, 2009

My little sister Emilee and I drove four and a half hours to Salt Lake City.  We were so excited at the opportunity to meet Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman!  Ree was in Salt Lake for her Cookbook Signing.

The book signing was scheduled to start at 7:00pm in Salt Lake City. Emilee and I arrived at about 4:30pm.  The plan was to locate The King’s English Bookstore and then do some shopping while we waited.  Well…when we arrived there was already a line outside!  Emilee and I hopped right in line too.

Two and a half hours later we filed into the Art Gallery (located right next door the The King’s English).  I couldn’t believe how many people were there!

Emilee and I took a self-portrait while we waited for Ree to arrive:

Here’s a photo from The Pioneer Woman’s Blog.  And guess what?  I’m in the photo!  I inserted a huge arrow (just in case you were having trouble locating me).

And here’s the photo I took (another huge arrow - which seems silly now because the photo is obviously Ree):

Ree’s sister-in-law, Missy is on the far left-hand side.

It was a blast to meet Ree, she was EXACTLY like she is on her blog.  She was adorable, funny and full of life…not to mention gorgeous!

I turned out to be one of those weird fans that made her a gift.

Before I left Idaho and drove to Utah, I put together a mini album for Ree.  It’s strange…but…after reading The Pioneer Woman blog for two years, I kind of feel like a know Ree a little.  Like we’re friends.  Kinda.

Anyway, here’s the book I made:

Ree takes the most beautiful photographs…I though she might like a little something to showcase them.

A peek inside:

Was it silly of me to hand her this book?  I sure hope she likes it.

I’ll share some more photos after I get a chance to edit them.  I’m still having trouble photographing my projects without my fancy camera.

…….Next up…..I promise I’ll share the Making Memories Christmas Album I’ve created!

Preparations…

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I’ve been absent from my blog for quite a few days now…It feels like the minutes roll into hours and the hours roll into days faster than I can keep up.

I’ve been working.  A lot.  And when I’m not working there are things like…err…laundry, meals, helping the kids with homework…I know, my life is so interesting, right?

During the hours (or minutes) in between it all I’ve been helping my sister plan her wedding.  And being her Matron of Honor, my sister has kept me pretty busy.  I can’t believe we’re planning a wedding in less than two months!  December 5th is right around the corner.

I’m also getting ready to post some of my projects on my Etsy Store…

It’s been awhile…since June?  Yes, my store has been pretty pathetic for awhile now.  But with the holidays coming up I might have to part with a few of my favorites…

I’ve also been compiling some projects for Graphic 45…

And occasionally I sleep, imagine that.

I’ll be posting when I can…I have the projects to share but now that the weather has changed, I just need decent light to take photos.

For now, I’m off to hop around blogs and visit all of you!
