It’s official!  Time for another give-away!

Leave a comment here by next Saturday (June 28, 2008) and I’ll enter you in a drawing to win this Vintage Sweetheart Album.   The winner will be announced Sunday, June 29th.  Please only one comment per person,  thank you and good luck!

Fun with BIND-IT-ALL

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

I purchased my own Zutter Bind-it-all at the last big scrapbooking crop I attended at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique. I have REALLY enjoyed using it! I can bind whatever I want!

First things first, remember that huge mess on my desk the other night? Before I could possible start another project I had to clean it up.

Ah, much better.

Alrighty. I started with some random little ATC pages from 7 Gypsies. Then I grabbed Jenni Bowlin Tags…a bit of Teresa Collins paper, some Tim Holtz tags and the I chalked it all and punched holes in each page with the Bind-it-all!

To be completely honest, my Bind-it-all has been catching my eye for the past few days…I just really wanted to use the thing so I created a reason to do it! I’m glad I did because I ended up with this little mini journal sorta book:

Now, what to use it for…hmmm…maybe I’ll use it to write down all the cute thing my kids say…?

Loving the Mini Garlands…

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

The other day while at a crop up at PSB I designed a little mini-garland for Father’s Day.  I’ve found myself addicted to making these little mini-garlands.  I just made a “Home Sweet Home” garland using the new Jenni Bowlin Paper.  I love this paper…it’s so much fun to use!  I painted one of the Maya Roads mini chipboard houses red and stuck it in the middle.  And of course I had to tie the whole thing together with the heart paper clips.  No garland would be complete without some sparkle…had to hang some from the hearts!

I’m thinking a Independence Day garland is coming up next (I’m sure the red-white-and-blue brought on the urge).

Birthday Mini Book Class…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

…I’m teaching this class at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique on May24th.  I love the colors in this album…it was so fun to create!  I used the Crate Paper Line.  The paper is so cheery and had really cute die-cuts.

What do you think of it? Iquiring minds want to know.  OK, I want to know.

Having fun with Travelouge…

Monday, May 12th, 2008

I just picked up Teresa Collin’s new Travelouge line while at a PSB crop this weekend.  I also purchased a BIND IT ALL (I am SO excited about it).  Seriously, this new line of T. Collins is so easy to work with…and with the BIND IT ALL you can have a complete album in no time!   The photos above are the cover of a Washington D.C. album.  I’ve been wanting to put photos of DC in an album for almost 2 years now…what a fun way to complete it!

I’ll post the “little details” from this album soon!

I hope you all had a wondeful Monday!

Scrapbooking Makes Me Happy…

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

…”Because it does” is what Deb said when I told her that I loved the little “Scrapbooking makes me HAPPY” wall hanging her and her sister Karen (from PSB) designed as a “gift kit” for their crop yesterday!  All of us croppers had tons of beautiful gifts waiting for us when we got there.  What a fun day!

This Woman…

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

…Loves to scrapbook, eats, candybars, thinks her children are adorable, cuddles with her husband often and this woman, right now…can’t wait to go to bed!

I hope you all had a Happy Saturday!

PS - Thanks Deb for the fun flower technique!

Project in the works

I’m almost there…I’m actually waiting on my sweet “computer genius” of a husband to help me launch my site.  It should be up and running by Thursday evening (May 1st) or Friday (May 2nd).   I still don’t have very many projects completed but what I do have I am super-excited to share with you.

I thought about just opening a store on ETSY but my husband insists I have my very own site.  He really is precious…and a pain (I didn’t say that, did I?).   Alas…either way I will have a website soon.  Thanks for your patients.  And if you’ve read this far leave a comment and I’ll enter your name in to a super-secret drawing (I’ll post a photo of the super-secret prize and the winner when my site launches). Times up!

Mother’s Day Album - the details

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I worked on a Mother’s Day album at a crop over the weekend and it got me thinking about my Mom.

I am so very blessed to have such a wonderful Mother. She has shown me how to be a great mom through her own example. She is kind and creative, she is tender, sweet and helpful. My Mom is generous with her time and talents, she has taught me the blessings of service. And most important she has been there to laugh and dream with, she is my greatest friend.

There are so many wonderful things to say about my mother, but never enough words to express how much I love her.

Thank you Mom for being there through the heartaches and the sweet victories. Thank you for sharing in a “life’s moments”- the good, the bad, and the just plain silly…My life is so much richer because of you!
