Sending Lots of Love…Happy 2012!

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

I know I’m late…

Happy New Year!

I hope that you had the merriest Christmas ever!

I’ve been absent from blogsphere.

I can only say that I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my beautiful family.

One of our Christmas traditions is baking sugar cookies and decorating them.

I’ve been dieting since early November so I only made enough for my kids to enjoy.

I was hard not to eat cookies. But I lived.

Dan does not like sugar cookies. He says they are a waste of frosting. Ugh!

I wish I didn’t like sugar cookies. I happen to LOVE them. And homemade butter cream frosting.

Family, Fun, and Halloween Costumes

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

This family photo was taken last July. It is so amazing to have my entire “Wolfe” family in a photo together.

Can you believe it’s already outdated? In the short span of 3 months, my sister-in-law, Kristin had her baby (she’s pregnant in the photo) and my other sister-in-law, Vanessa (the tiny woman on the left) found out she is pregnant. I love how my family has grown! Best of all, I love being “Aunt Christie”.

For the longest time my kids did not have any first cousins. Parker was the first grandchild on Dan’s side of the family and my side too…Izabelle was the second. I finally became an aunt with my sweet little niece, Kayla. Now the Wolfe family is growing like crazy! I love it!

Have you noticed that I haven’t been around much this week? I’ve been SUPER busy both with work and with family fun!

I have tons of Scrap n’ Art projects that I can’t wait to share with you.

This week we’ve had loads of Halloween fun here in Idaho.

Friday night we ventured out to the Haunted Mill. It was tons of spoooooooky fun! I think Izabelle had her eyes closed almost the entire time.

The Haunted Mill was was pretty darn scary if I do say so myself.

Then Saturday night we got lost in The Straw Maze. We went after dark the when maze becomes “haunted” and seriously fun!

It was so crazy to try to find my way through a straw maze in the dark…with spooks jumping out around corners and in tunnels.

Crazy. Scary. FUN!

Again, I think Izabelle had her eyes closed almost the entire time.

We also enjoyed shopping at Halloween City last week. Izabelle and Parker tested out all sorts of costumes.

I’ll be sure to post photos of the kids in their real costumes on Monday they’re pretty fantastic!

Happy 11th Birthday Izabelle!

Thursday, September 22nd, 2011

Happy Birthday to my sweet little Izabelle!

When you were born, you were so tiny…only 2 pounds, 6 ounces. Your due date was December 22nd, but you came early.

THREE months early!

I love to look at this photo of you…only minutes old. Your daddy’s hands around your tiny body.

I remember the blessing that my dad, Grandpa Wolfe gave you with Brother Fillerup. Did you know that Brother Fillerup (Dr. Fillerup) is the doctor that delivered me when I was born? How neat is that?

I remember my Grandpa & Grandma Crabtree, (your great-grandparents) came to visit you in the hospital. I remember when Grandpa held your tiny body in his hands and said,

“Isn’t it glorious that inside this tiny baby girl lies the keys to create generations?”

I sat in awe, and pondered how amazing it was that you survived, and because you survived, you will have children, and your children will have children.

Generations. Grandpa was right, it was, and still is a glorious thing to ponder.

I remember feeling confident that you would survive and grow to be a woman with children of your own.

And you have grown.

You grew into a beautiful baby, then an adorable toddler…

…a cute kid…

…and a gorgeous girl.

I love you!

Happy birthday my sweet, sweet girl.

Izabelle’s New Grin

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Izabelle was so excited to get her braces on last June. She’s not as excited these days…brushing, rubber bands, tightening, etc.

But from my point of view, her braces are AMAZING! Izabelle has only had her braces on for a little over a month and her smile has already changed!

I love this girl! I was born to be her mom. Izabelle is such a unique, spunky, creative, witty and beautiful girl.

Lately, Izabelle has been my little shadow. She walks with me, cooks with me, crafts with me…best of all: she talks to me…I mean really talks to me. She tells me about her everyday comings and goings, about what’s annoying her at the moment, she shares her ideas and she tells me about her dreams.

It is my wish that her and I stay close.

I know the day will come when she won’t want to spend so much time with me…when silly best friends and teenage boys enter the picture…but for now, I am loving every minute spent with her.

Volcano Cake

Friday, August 5th, 2011

Last April, 0ur family celebrated Parker’s 14th Birthday at the Rain Forest Cafe in Las Vegas.

Parker ordered the Volcano Cake for dessert.

The cake was HUGE and delicious!

Parker loves this layout.

It make me happy when my kids enjoy the scrapbook pages I create. They’re the main reason I scrapbook…and I love playing with paper.

It’s my hubby’s birthday tomorrow…I have some fun things planned. YAHOO!

I hope that YOU have a fun-tabulous weekend!

The Crabtree Cabin, Crate Paper and California

Sunday, July 24th, 2011

The Crabtree Family Cabin…

…it’s a magical place.

Stone walks and a warm summer breeze set the tranquil mood.

Lush grass and evergreens are a sight to behold.

Wildflowers free the youthful spirit.

Glorious sunsets fill the wide open sky.

The Crabtree Cabin, a place of memory, love, family, fun, beauty, adventure and rest.

And after sunset, the bonfires blaze.

I’m headed back to the Crabtree Cabin again on Monday.

There is no place I’d rather be.

Did you miss me? It’s been awhile…

I’ve been there and back again.

Here’s a little layout that I created using Crate Paper’s Portrait Collection. I’ve use this line a lot, can’t seem to get enough of the black and green combo.

In other news…

I lugged my camera to California with me and only took ONE photo. Can you believe it? Neither can I.

I flew to California to help Karen prepare to open her store, Paradise Scrapbook Boutique in it’s new, larger location.

Karen’s store is beautiful. When she opened the doors for business yesterday, there was already a line of people waiting outside. How wonderful is that? So, so excited for her!

I ‘borrowed’ the follow photos from the Paradise Scrapbook Boutique blog.

Karen has tons of space for her amazing displays.

If you want to see more photos, check out her blog HERE.

I’m headed out of town again tomorrow but I’ll be back soon with more lovely projects and photos.

Take care!

May Arts Ribbon on Layouts + Our First 2011 Cabin Trip

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

WARNING: This is a photo heavy post.

In June May Arts Ribbon sponsored Scrap n’ Art magazine and I received a box packed full of GORGEOUS May Arts trims. I was more than ecstatic, I was over the moon!

Here are some layouts that I created using May Arts Ribbon.

“The Little Things”

I used May Arts ribbon and lace along with My Minds Eye paper.

“The Face of an Angel”

Using May Arts ribbon and Pink Paislee paper.

“Baking Bread”

Using May Arts ribbon and lace, Echo Park paper and I tried to hand bead on cardstock.

My family and I spent some of our 4th of July weekend in Island Park at the Crabtree Family Cabin, it’s such a beautiful place.

There were piggy back rides.

Playing in the gorgeous green grass.

Riding on the back of Uncle Larry’s golf cart.

I spy a butterfly…

A game of horseshoes.

Some mild kayaking.

And some canoeing…

And a lot of Aunt Christie following Cooper around.

Cooper = cute photos.

Cooper with his pregnant mommy. Nephew #2 on the way…

We had an eventful weekend, we even attended a Rodeo (my first) it was nuts!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful week!

Summer Stash #3 Winner! Happy 4th of July!

Monday, July 4th, 2011

It’s a GORGEOUS day! I hope you’re enjoying it!

We spent the morning watching the 4th of July parade down Main street.

I work at my father’s lighting store during the week…snapped a few photos of the big “Wolfe Lighting” light bulb.

This box truck is full of balloons. The girl in the red hat is my baby sister, she was in charge of  handing out frisbees & balloons.

Izabelle rode along with my Dad, they threw frisbees too.

It wouldn’t be Idaho without a tractor…

I hope you enjoy this glorious day!

The Summer Stash #3 Winner is:

Sam Wright!

Thanks for all your sweet comments! Stay tuned for the next Summer Stash giveaway!
