My Next Class: Graphic 45 {Precious}

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I designed this layout for the Graphic 45 booth at CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Trade Show in Chicago last July. I received my example back about a week ago so I will finally be teaching this two-page layout at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique in September.

Much Needed Girl Time

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

I spend all day Saturday at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.  First teaching class, then just hanging out with the girls for the Saturday night crop.

I didn’t realise how much I needed this little “getaway” until I was there.  I had so much fun!  I laughed so hard I cried.  I talked about my husband and children and discussed similar experiences with other women.  I visited with a Mom with an Autistic child (like myself).  I bonded with these women.  I love my scrapbooking friends!

I came in to Paradise Scrapbook Boutique Saturday morning with my cup half-empty and left that night with my cup overflowing.

It is amazing how what friends and scrapbooking can do for my soul.  Thanks ladies!

Big Plans…

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

I always seem to have “Big Plans” for my Saturdays…I can’t ever seem to accomplish all that I want to squeeze into that one day every week.  Do you have this problem with Saturdays too?  Right now I have so many irons in the fire I think I’m going to burn the house (or my brain) down.

Around an round she goes…where she’ll stop, nobody knows!

Yes, I know this is a pretty random post…

The above photo is a little Chinese takeout box that I covered with some of the new paper from Graphic 45’s Botanica Bella Line.  I love being on their design team, seriously…their paper is so beautiful and easy to work with!

This is the class I am teaching up at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique today:

A fun summer paper bag album, bound together with (my fave) the Bind-it-all.  Nice.

And NEXT Saturday I’m teaching a Two-page Layout using Teresa Collins - Travelogue paper.  I love to work with this paper…tons of fun and very versatile, did I say I love this paper?

The photos on the layout are from our trip to Disneyland last September…I can’t believe it’s almost been A YEAR since we went last…it seems like it was just yesterday.  Man, these days (weeks, years) just fly!

So my big plans….?

Teach, clean, create, play.  Oh, and maybe get some rose bushes planted….cross your fingers!

What are your big plans?  Love to hear ‘em!

Graphic 45 “Precious” Layout

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

Another layout created with the new Botanicabella Line from Graphic 45.  This is one of the projects that DHL has hidden somewhere in the abyss (*sniff*).  I can’t say it enough, I love working with this paper.

I spoke with Karen and I’ll be creating this layout (but make it 2-pages) for a class at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique in August.

Take a close look at this paper, it’s gorgeous!

I created a little hidden journaling tag on the right hand side of the photo.

Do you like the first photo of the paper flowers?   I think I’ll run a little course on how to make paper flowers here on my blog next week….what do you think?  Is it something you all would be interested in?  Let me know.

And please keep your fingers crossed that my DHL package finds it’s way to Graphic 45 in time for their trip to Chicago!

Summer Memories, a class…

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

I thought I’d post a little sneak peek of the little scrapbook class I’m teaching at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique in July.

This little book is made out of white paper bags.  It’s bound together with the Bind-it-all,  it’s seriously one of my favorite tools.

I’ll post more peeks of the book in the coming week!

Teaching Today!

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I’m teaching the “Love my Pooch” layout today at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.  It’s weird, this is the first class in awhile that I’m not feelin’.  Usually I really like the way my pages turn out…I think this time I just wasn’t in the groove.  It’s alright, they can’t all be masterpieces, right?

Yesterday was CRAZY!  I had planned to spend the whole day working on craft projects.  Turns out I did nill, nada, nothin…nope, didn’t do ONE darn thing I planned on.  I ended up cleaning and running around town doing what felt like  a MILLION errands….ah, such is life.  I have to admit, even though I didn’t do what I planned  for the day, it was still a great day!

Today I’m hoping to get ”yesterday’s projects” done after I teach…we’ll see if I can actually empliment  a plan today!  Wish me luck!

Love my Pooch!

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Yes, we love our Pooch!  Marley is our friend, we love him so…

Our dog Marley is my daughter’s best friend!  Marley thinks he’s only 10 pounds and will try to sit on your lap if you let him.  He enjoys snuggling and tug-of-war.  And boy oh boy is he strong.  We don’t have much of a yard so he’s an inside dog but he does enjoy his walks and occasionally he gets to visit my Parent’s dogs out at their Ranch.

The first photo above is a sneak peek at the “Love my Pooch” class that I am teaching up the hill at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique!   The second photo is of my sweet girl kissing our Pooch Marley!  I know, I know…looks kinda gross and if you remember what she said in yesterday’s post “If you lie down with dogs…you’ll get sick”.  What can I say, she loves him!

Father’s Day Garland

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Happy Monday Everyone!  The photo above is of the little mini garland I am teaching at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique this coming Saturday.

These little garlands are so fun to make…I used the little Tim Holtz “Sprockets” to tie each section together…love those sprockets!

I’m working on the layout for my next class “Love my Pooch”.  I’ll post photos soon!

My kids have 4 days left of school…then it’s officially Summer at my house!  Whoa…it’s going to get a little crazy ’round these parts!

Win a $25 Gift Certificate - TIMES UP! Thanks for your comments!

Congratulations to the winner of the $25 Gift Certificate:

Vicki Morris!

Paradise Scrapbook Boutique is my all time favorite Scrapbook store! From the first moment I walked in the front door, I was awe-inspired. Karen, the store owner has such an eye for detail (if you read my blog…you know I love the details). I always feel warm and welcome there…and an added plus: the women who scrapbook there are amazing too! To top it all off, Karen actually thinks that I’m cool enough to teach at her “Boutique” and boy oh boy is it fun!

So, you know I love to give stuff away…today I am going to share the love! I’m giving away a $25.00 PSB gift certificate!!! Karen is willing to sell class kits/product over the phone (for those of you who don’t live in the area). Simply visit her blog HERE and check out the classes/new product!

Leave a comment on any post, I’ll even add an extra entry for those who comment on old posts…I’ll draw a random winner this Sunday (June 1st).

Birthday Mini Book Class…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

…I’m teaching this class at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique on May24th.  I love the colors in this album…it was so fun to create!  I used the Crate Paper Line.  The paper is so cheery and had really cute die-cuts.

What do you think of it? Iquiring minds want to know.  OK, I want to know.
