Little Miss Kayla. I can’t get enough of this sweet little niece of mine.

She is so darn adorable, I can’t stand it!

Sometimes I wish I could stop her from growing. OK, I wish it almost all of the time.

It’s amazing to me how fast children grow.

Here’s a sneak peek of the Teresa Collins “Sweet Afternoon” class that I designed for Paradise Scrapbook Boutique. Want a closer look? Check it out HERE.

Have a gorgeous day!

Cosmo Cricket {Baby Jane}

Has it been 7 1/2 months since Tucker was born? I still remember Cooper’s face when he met Tuck for the first time. He had no idea what he was in for.

I have been so blessed to live so close to these cuties. I get to see them at least once a week.

Cooper is so sweet to his little brother, constantly kissing him and giving him toys to play with.

I love watching both Cooper and Tuck grow. I’m a lucky auntie.

I’m back in Idaho and still recovering from my long drive and crazy allergies.

I think my California allergies turned into a sinus infection, a small price to pay for the beauty that surrounded me while I was there.

Soon, I’ll be back in the swing of things.

Cards and More Cards

Monday, March 19th, 2012

A few of the cards I have created of late…

All but the first card were made with leftover papers and embellishments cluttering up my desk.

The first card was made for my sister-in-law, Vanessa. I sent it to her for her baby shower. Speaking of BABY, my brad new nephew, Jackson, was born this morning in the early hours. I’m so excited to meet him (I’ll be in California soon)! I’ll post photos on my blog so you can all delight in his adorableness with me.

I hope you have a fabulous week!

So Much Less Without Each Other

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

This is the Valentine card that I made for my husband, Dan.

Dan and I are so much less without each other. And so much more because we’re together.

I recently started writing our love story in my journal. When I was younger, I rarely kept a journal. I’ve been reminiscing about when Dan and I were young…how he asked me to marry him the day we met. Our first kiss (which just happened to be under mistletoe). How Dan asked me to be his girlfriend on Valentines day…he showed up for dinner late but he wrote me a song and played it for me on his guitar.

After all these years, Dan is still so romantic.

I love Dan. He makes me a better woman.

You Light Up My Life

Friday, February 17th, 2012

This card gave me the perfect opportunity to use the My Mind’s Eye stamps I’ve had sitting on my desk for a while now.

I love the little lamp stamp. So cute.

…makes me think of Anchor Man.

“I love lamp.”

Do you have any fun weekend plans? I’ve been so busy lately, I’m hoping to just have some time to relax a bit. We’ll see.

Catch you on the flip side. :)

Love You

Saturday, February 11th, 2012

Nothing says, “I love you” like a bubble wrap heart dipped in red paint and stamped onto a card. Except maybe a kiss and hug…and some chocolate. OK. A lot of chocolate.

Valentines Day. Bring on the love.

Ahhhh amore.

I Love Every Moment With You

Sunday, February 5th, 2012

I’m not sure why but I really love the way this card turned out. The different textures and layers…paint, canvas, lace, twine, buttons. I also love the blue and yellow color combination, it’s just so…well…happy!

To create the painted background on this card, I used leftover cardstock (from cutting out titles) as a template.

This is the album I was cutting out titles for:

If you’re interested, you can purchase a kit to create this album yourself HERE.

Have a happy Monday!

So, So Thankful

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

Reflecting on 2011, I can’t help but feel overwhelming gratitude.

I feel like I’ve learned so much, loved so much, overcome obstacles, felt so much support, been given so much…I feel so blessed.

2011 was a wonderful year, I thank you for being part of it.

I love Snowy Days

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

Where is the snow in Idaho? We’ve had a few storms here and there but the snow melted away by noon.

One of the things I’ve most enjoyed about living in Idaho: a white Christmas.

Where I lived in California, we never woke up to snow on Christmas morning.

I know that one doesn’t usually ‘hope for snow’…

but I’m dreaming of a white Christmas.

Using Leftover Paper Again {My Mind’s Eye}

Monday, September 19th, 2011

I sat down at my desk today intending to clean up my mess and start a new project. Instead, I saw all my leftover scraps from this project and decided I should use them to make a few cards. Better to use paper scraps now instead of hoarding them for later…or worse…just throwing them away.

I always struggle with sentiments for cards, especially when I don’t have any other purpose to create cards except to get scrap paper off my desk.

I ended up with, “Bliss,”  “Miss U,” and “Celebrate”.

Now…off to clean up my desk for real this time.
