There are lots of fun things to do for Halloween locally. Now that my kids are teenagers and are not-too-scared-of-spooks, our family has visited The Haunted Straw Maze, The Haunted Forest, and The House of Seven Gables.

My sister and our friend, Crystal wanted to have a Halloween party. It’s been years since we have all dressed up…and needing to add a little ‘fun’ to my life, I decided to join them and host a last-minute dress-up Halloween party.

It’s amazing what you can pull off in a short amount of time when you have three heads instead of just one. It’s also amazing who will show up with only a few day’s notice. I wish that I could’ve delivered more invites…there are some friends that I wish I could’ve found in time…like Susan O. and Kristen D. (you know who you are, my pregnant friend).

Old friends came, along with new friends, and some people I had never even met (Emilee and Crystal’s friends) trickled in. We had a good time, and best of all: my home was filled with some much-needed laughter.

Do you celebrate Halloween? Do you dress up? Do you hand out candy? Watch scary movies?

I suggest you travel back to 1980 and watch my favorite scary movie: Watcher in the Woods

I hope that you have something wonderfully-spooky in mind.

Happy Halloween!

XOXO, Christie
