It Feels Like Fall

I love Autumn.  Autumn is my very favorite season.  The color, the cooler weather…sweaters and hot cocoa…lighting Pumpkin Spice scented candles. I just love this time of year.

This is the view through a couple of my windows this morning:

Doesn’t it make you want to snuggle up in a blanket with a warm cup of cocoa or cider?  Yep, me too.

My kids love this season because of Halloween.  Izabelle loves to dress up (the scarier the better) and Parker loves to Trick-or-Treat.

The kids and I decorated the house the first of the month.  I’ve been waiting for a brighter day to take some photos but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. I went ahead and pulled out my little point-and-shoot anyway.

This is one of our Halloween Trees:

Last year I joined a charm making swap and ended up with over 50 charms.   The charms made perfect little Halloween Tree ornaments. Check out how cute they are:

Here are a couple of hand-blown glass pumpkin charms:

Izabelle’s favorite Halloween decoration, the potion jars:

A couple of simple garlands that I threw together:

And the last photo…a pumpkin bell.  This bell is usually hidden inside the fabric garland it’s tied to. I love it,  the little bell makes me smile every time I see it:

This is when I gave up taking photos. I decided to call my camera repair man and ask him: Exactly when am I getting my lens back? Of course, the answering machine picked up.

I miss my good camera.

Time to snuggle up with a cup of hot cocoa.

Oh, what a very nice view! The colors of your trees are having the same colors like the trees in The Netherlands right now! Your autumn looks like the autumn in The Netherlands And the decorations are gorgeous! The stunning tree with the lovely charms and the little pumkin bell makes me smile too! Thank you for sharing! It’s a shame we don’t have the Halloween tradition in the Netherlands! My husband Rob has his birthday on the 31th of October, so we have our own little Halloweenparty, ha, ha, ha :) .
    Take care! Odetta

I bet you are experiencing a really great fall in your new home this year. And I am sure you will have plenty of opportunities to snuggle up in a blanket. Is it really cold already?
