Scribble Scrabble Layout

I’ve recently created three new layouts for the 12 x12 shadow boxes that are in my guest bathroom.

The layouts needed to have bright, summer colors – the new Scribble Scrabble paper was perfect!

I have only photographed one of the layouts so far (blame the day job).

I’ll share the other two soon.  Promise.

I used staples on the ribbon and I hand stitched across the bottom of the page with green floss (that was the fun part).

The crochet flower (top photo) in the layout was handmade by my good friend, Linda.  She will be teaching a Crochet Flower class at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique this month.  I’m so excited!

Have you ever used hand stitching on a layout?  It definitely adds dimension, do you like the look of it?

Gorgeous lay-out! I love the bright and cheerful colors of Scribble Scrabble. The flower is beautiful! At first I had the get used of the real stitches on a lay-out of card. But now I completely agree with you! It’s another nice technic we all can use.

This is beautiful. I want to frame a couple of layouts, also. Rotate them from time to time.

I didn’t know you had a day job. I thought it was Mom/scrapbook creator extraordinaire. :-)

I love the stitching. I sort of see it as a practically free way to add dimension and texture. It’s so beautiful, yet it’s the most inexpensive element.
