Graduation Invites

Recently my friend, Shasta asked me to make some handmade Graduation Announcements for her friend, Chrysten.

It was a bit of a challenge…I was definitely out of my comfort zone.  But I did end up making some samples for Shasta.

The photos I used of Chrysten are colored but on the final product the photos will be black and white (try to imagine them that way).

Here’s the four samples I made:

Shasta chose the first sample.

I got the pocket idea for the second sample from THIS POST on my friend, Alex’s blog (I thought it was a fabulous idea).

All of the announcements are just cardstock, ribbon and lace (and flowers…and pearls…and buttons).  I cut out the flourishes, library pocket and scalloped cards on the Accu-Cut Machine at PSB.

I did not take any ‘inside’ photos of the announcements to protect Chrysten’s privacy.

Anyone you know graduating this year?  High School?  College?

You really succeed to make gorgeous samples. I love sample one and sample four. This year at my place no one is graduating. My niece (13 years old) and nephews (11 and 8 years old) are too young.

these are all gorgeous! When Ariana graduates in two years, I’ll be calling on you Girlfriend! And before you know it, you’ll be making these cards for Parker & Belle! Seriously!
