A Quick Get-Away…
Summer is almost over…we simply had to get away somewhere at least semi-special with the kids. My husband and I gave them the choice, they could go to Marine World (they’ve been a few times and love it there) or San Francisco to visit the Exploratorium then go to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner. The kids chose San Francisco, I was more than pleased!
We had a blast at the Exploratorium. It’s a really fun Museum! You get to touch EVERYTHING. So cool.
I took about 200 photos…here are some of the highlights.
The Giant Sized Pin Art Square to play wth. Izabelle tried to do her whole face but it didn’t quite work…instead she was able to get a hand in for the photo…
Here’s one of Parker’s hand in the Pin Art:
A home-made tornado?
Giant Bubbles:
Fun with Gravity…(My husband looks pretty happy).
It was a day full of smiles.

Your kids are beautiful. I love museums where you can touch everything. I don’t like the kind where you CAN’T because I always end up touching stuff

It looks like you guys had a blast! I am trying to figure out what fun things to do this week too. I think we will hit a minor league baseball game, and a pre-season game for the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Miami Dolphins. We got tickets for 8 bucks! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I am adding you to my blogroll!

Hey Cristie…Brings back memories. My kids loved this place. I can see them running around those fabulous columns out in front of the building, laughing and playing in the sea breeze. Thanks for sharing. Diana

I love the Exploratorium! I made Michael go with me when I first moved to the Bay Area. My favorite is the giant shadow box. We almost got kicked out for being inappropriate! Why does it always have to come to that with me??

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog! Your kids are gorgeous, and the Exploratorium looks like great fun. I’m determined to milk every last minute out of the remainder of summer, too.

That sounds like a super fun place to go.
I like the hands on kind of museums I learn a lot more.
Plus they don’t yell at me “Don’t touch” & “Shhhh”
my kids would have so much fun there.

Hi Christie . . . I am so glad to hear that the Exploratorium is still as exciting as when I took my kids their for the first time about 25 years ago . . . I know that your kids, like mine, will be making many more trips to it . . . I can’t wait till my granddaughter is old enough to enjoy it . . . LindaB
