Who got older?

What?  July 7th was my Birthday?  No way!  I took the photo above to prove to my husband that I have wrinkles and grey hair.  I do!  But I conveniently turned the above photo into sepia tones as to not reveal them to the blogging public.

32 years old!  3 + 2 = 5.  This year I’m five.  OK not five…but I do wish I was five years younger when I looked like this:

Thinner, less wrinkles, my eyelids hadn’t fallen quite so far and my hair did that fun “flip” look with ease.  Ah, such was life.

I wouldn’t actually give back the past five years.  They’ve added lots of character.  Those wrinkles and grey hairs are well earned.  Life lessons learned, good times shared with family and friends.  Lots of firsts for my children….Yep, I’m keepin’ them years and I’ll do it with no more complaint.

Each year on my birthday, I swear to myself that this year  is going to be my best year yet.  This year, I’m stickin’ to it!  I’m sure you’ll hear all about how great my year is going along the way.  Right.  Here.

Oh, almost forgot!  Check out the cake my sweet friend Laura brought over for me!  Isn’t she the best?  It was SO yummy!  It was FIVE layers of cake with yummy icing, pudding and raspberry filling (Parker was very pleased there were so many layers).  Mmmm mmm yum mmm!

For all you flower makin’ fools:  Tomorrow I’ll start my Pretty Paper Flower Tutorial!

Catch ya on the flip side~
