Lost with Bella and Edward…
My poor children, husband and dog…they have been so neglected the past couple of days. Heck, even the laundry is starting to really pile up! I can’t help it. Can’t. Help. It.
I was reading several of my SITS sista’s blogs and so many recommended this book:
I had a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble and I really needed a good Summer read. Now that I have no more Harry Potter to look forward to, I had to move on. When I was talking to a very helpful sales associate while at Barnes and Noble, she led me to a display of the Twilight Series. I bought all three books…couldn’t help it. I’m so glad I did…when I opened the first book, “Twilight” at 9:00pm on Sunday Night, I did not put it down until 4:30 am. Wow! I haven’t stayed up that late in ages! I. Could. Not. Put. It . Down.
So, after finishing the first book and getting some “proper” rest on Monday Night I started the next book in the series on Tuesday Night:
OK, this book was just as good as the first one. Again, I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. Less than halfway through and Stephenie Meyer’s writing had already moved me to tears. I have to admit, as tears continued to roll down my cheeks when I close the cover (to get some shut eye - I learned my lesson Sunday night) I thought to myself…”Wow, this is a pretty darn AWESOME book if it can move me this way”
We had some guests over this evening…I have to admit, I’ve never actually wanted to escape to my room so badly while we had visitors before. The book was calling to me. Yes. I finished it. Now I’m on to the third book:
Thank goodness her fourth book doesn’t come out until August. I might actually get some work done around the house! Maybe I’ll bake some cookies with my children.

I am you right now. I heard the others talking about it and thought, no way am I reading vampire crap. But somebody said something about it being comparable to Harry Potter as far as it being addictive and the waiting for a new book …
I bought all three and am as far as you are in reading. I don’t want to do anything except read these books right now. I thought about telling my family I had a migraine and I needed bed rest until it passed but if I got busted reading during a bogus migraine they would never believe a real migraine again

Isn’t it fun when we find such good books to read. Right now I’m getting ready for a Patriotic crop at the LSS and am neglecting just about everything while trying to get ready, so I know how that goes. I’ll have to check these books out. I haven’t been able to find a good book to read so I started rereading my Outlander series, probably the 3rd time now.

Its amazing! I love them! And i have all three two at home in paperback which you could have borrowed, but there so good you probably wanted to keep them just for yourself! The movie for the first one also comes out the end of this year! I am so excited! Its amazing! Love ya sista!

wow that is alot of reading! I have not finished a book in soooooooooooo many years. I had a head injury about 10 years ago and my attention and memroy span are about a paragraph! i have to re-read everything 2x. However it is my goal to buy and read this book:
The Art of racing in the rain by Grath Stein. It is written as if a dog wrote it and it’s about his master a race car driver dying. I am sure it is a tear jerker and quite personally I could us a good cry lol!
Christie - it is a good thing to read so much! GOOD FOR YOU!

I have been watching my students take forrrrevverrrr to read the first book, although I can’t complain, they are special ed and at least they are reading!! I’ve been thinking that I should read them. So, I guess I will give in and now that summer is here, I will read them. It is nice to know that you soo endorse the books.
I just happened on to your blog in a long, convoluted way and I don’t normally respond. I have to admit, I was curious when I read “enter to win”. I will have to bookmark your blog…..

I just picked this book up from the library, lol. I haven’t started it yet. I read a lot of book blogs & they are all raving about this series. Hopefully will get it started today or tomorrow. I’m in the process of reviewing a teen book, that hopefully shouldn’t take me long to whip through so I can start Twilight

Absolutely loved all three books. My 17 yr. old daughter tuurned me on to them. Can’t wait for the next one in August. And the movie in Dec. Time is just passing so slowly. Should it be Jacob or Edward?
